I Tried The Rooted Co.’s CBD Oil for Fibromyalgia. Here’s What Happened…

As I mentioned in a recent post, I wanted to start writing more about my experience with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Again, not for pity or sympathy, but in the hopes to be helpful to anyone out there with the same struggles. Let me run down what a day-in-the-life of Fibro/CFS is like for me…

I wake up, feeling like I’ve gotten no rest at all due to the fatigue I constantly feel. When an average person is operating at, say, 80% energy on any given day, I’m at about a 55%, if I’m lucky. While everything looks normal on the outside, the inside is dragging and is feeling chronic pain throughout. And – as of where it stands medically right now – for no good reason.

While I carry around constant fatigue, it is very difficult to rest (even sleep) peacefully due to the pain. And, if I don’t get enough rest, it leads to more pain. A vicious cycle that I’m working on managing everyday. I’ve tried a few medications to no avail, I’ve also tried just being mad about it – and for whatever reason, that didn’t work, either.

So, I figured I’d see what all of the recent fuss was about and gave CBD oil a try. I’ve been using The Rooted Co.’s CBD Tincture for a week, and here’s what I’ve found. Despite me spacing out and accidentally throwing the box with the tincture in the washing machine (I realized within two minutes and saved it from any damage) things have gone rather well with the usage!

  • It’s water-soluble, so I’m able to put 1-2 drops in my coffee in the morning and then my tea at night.
  • I did a little science experiment where I took it a few nights in a row, and then didn’t take it at all one day. I slept MUCH better the days that I took it versus the day that I didn’t. In turn, my pain was lessened due to the restful sleep.
  • The week prior to starting the CBD oil, I had pangs of pain in both knees. These pains went away when I began using the oil.
  • I was also having nerve pain in my feet, and rubbing the tincture directly on the pain-points eliminated the pain.

This is something worth trying if you’re experiencing chronic pain and/or fatigue. But, let it be known that I am not a medical expert, so always consult with your doctor before adding something new to your regimen. This is simply what has worked for me and it is an across-the-board solution. If you’ve tried CBD oil, comment below and let us know your experience!
