Gallery To Showcase Art of Bachelors Grove

The Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park will be showcasing a collection of impressions based off of the long-alleged haunting grounds of Bachelors Grove Cemetery in Midlothian, Illinois. I am thrilled to share that some of my photography of Bachelors Grove will be on display in the gallery throughout the month of October. Learn more below.

Thursday, October 25  7 – 7 :30 pm (7:30 – 7:45 pm: book signing)

John Everson, Author of “The House by the Cemetery”  John has written a book based on Bachelors Grove that will be released October 13, 2018. He  grew up in Tinley Park and worked for the Park District while in high school.

Saturday, October 27, 11 – 11:30 am (11:30 – 11:45 am: book signing)

Ursula Bielski, Author of “Haunted Bachelors Grove”  Ms. Bielski is a Chicago historian and folklorist specializing in cemetery history and the preternatural. A respected paranormal researcher, she is the author of nine books on Chicago ghost-lore and cemetery history.  She has been studying the settlement, folklore and culture of Bachelors Grove for nearly three decades. She will talk about her research and investigatios for her most recent book,”Haunted Bachelors Grove,”

Saturday, October 27 11:45 am-12:15 pm (12:15 – 12:30 pm: book signing)

Charles Moisant, Author of  “The Haunting Tales of Bachelors Grove”  Charles D. Moisant, is a comic book artist, writer, and the creative director of Silver Phoenix Entertainment (a 100% female owned company). Charles has been publishing comic books since 1991, starting with Kremin. Silver Phoenix Entertainment works with many artists, printing comic titles like Myth Told Tales by Robert Asprin and Jody Lynn Nye, Mystery Manor Haunted Theater, and Whispers from the Void. He created “The Haunting Tales of Bachelors Grove” and will talk and do book signing about his first issue that came out last year.

Tuesday, October 30  7:30-8:15pm

Wendy Moxley Roe is an investigator and archivist of the Bachelors Grove cemetery who will talk on the genealogy of the Grove.  She will have numerous photographs displayed.
